Fried Rice with Egg & Minced Meat

The 5 most important ingredients for your fried rice

To create the perfect fried rice, you don’t need many ingredients, but the right ones make all the difference. You may not be able to get gochuang paste everywhere, but we’ll tell you where. Here are the five most important ingredients and why they are so special:

Minced meat:Mixed minced meat gives your fried rice a hearty touch and ensures that you feel full. Organic minced meat is particularly recommended here. Why? Because it is free of antibiotics and hormones, which is not only healthier but also tastes more intense. When shopping, always pay attention to good quality, whether organic or conventionally kept.

Rice:Cooked rice is the base of this dish. The highlight: use rice from the day before! It is less sticky and becomes nice and crispy when frying. If you’re in a hurry, cooked express rice from the supermarket will do the trick. This saves you time without sacrificing taste.

Eggs:Eggs give the fried rice a smooth consistency. When frying, you should make sure that the egg has set slightly before adding the rice. This means that the egg only partially combines with the rice and creates a nice texture.

Ginger and garlic:These two are the flavor bombs in your dish. Fresh ginger and garlic give the fried rice a spicy depth and harmonize perfectly with the other ingredients. When shopping, look for fresh, firm tubers that exude an intense scent.

Gochujang paste:This Korean seasoning paste brings a pleasant spiciness and depth to your dish. It consists of fermented soybeans and chilies and gives your fried rice a special touch. You can find them in well-stocked Asian stores, if you don’t have one near you, you can Order gochujang paste on Amazon.

Preparation tips for the perfect fried rice

To ensure that your fried rice turns out perfectly, I have a few tips for you. Make sure that the egg has set slightly while frying, but is not completely cooked through. This gives the rice the ideal consistency. Use rice from the day before – it is less moist and becomes crispy when fried. If you’re in a hurry, you can also use cooked express rice from the supermarket that you can use straight away.

Variations for every taste

This recipe can be easily modified to suit different preferences. Instead of minced meat, you can also use chicken breast, cut into thin strips and fried. For a vegetarian option, mushrooms are an excellent choice, giving the dish a meaty texture and deep umami flavor. These variations make the fried rice even more versatile and adapt to your personal preferences.
