Fried Rice with Egg & Minced Meat: Your Simple and Delicious Dinner

The 5 Most Important Ingredients for Your Fried Rice

You don’t need many ingredients to create the perfect fried rice, but the right ones make all the difference. You might not be able to get the gochuang paste everywhere, but we’ll tell you where. Here are the five most important ingredients and why they’re so special:

Minced meat:Mixed minced meat gives your fried rice a hearty flavor and ensures that you’re full. Organic minced meat is particularly recommended here. Why? Because it is free of antibiotics and hormones, which is not only healthier, but also more flavorful. When shopping, always make sure you buy good quality, whether organic or conventional.

Rice:Cooked rice is the basis of this dish. The trick: use rice from the day before! It is less sticky and becomes nice and crispy when fried. If you are in a hurry, cooked express rice from the supermarket will do. This saves you time without sacrificing taste.

Eggs:Eggs give the fried rice a smooth consistency. When frying, make sure that the egg has set slightly before adding the rice. This way, the egg only partially bonds with the rice and creates a nice texture.

Ginger and garlic:These two are the flavor bombs in your dish. Fresh ginger and garlic give the fried rice a spicy depth and harmonize perfectly with the other ingredients. When shopping, look for fresh, firm tubers that give off an intense scent.

Gochujang paste:This Korean seasoning paste brings a pleasant spiciness and depth to your dish. It consists of fermented soybeans and chilies and gives your fried rice a special touch. You can find it in well-stocked Asian shops, if you don’t have one near you, you can Order Gochujang paste from Amazon.

Preparation tips for the perfect fried rice

I have a few tips for you to make sure your fried rice turns out perfectly. Make sure that the egg has set slightly when fried, but not completely cooked through. This will give the rice the ideal consistency. Use rice from the day before – it is less moist and will be nice and crispy when fried. If you are in a hurry, you can also use cooked express rice from the supermarket, which you can use straight away.

Variations for every taste

This recipe can easily be modified to suit different preferences. Instead of ground meat, you can also use chicken breast, cut into thin strips and fried. For a vegetarian version, mushrooms are an excellent choice, giving the dish a meaty texture and a deep umami flavor. These variations make the fried rice even more versatile and adapt to your personal preferences.
