Making chocolate pudding yourself is very easy! With our recipe, the chocolate pudding is ready almost as quickly as pudding from the bag and tastes incredibly intensely of chocolate.

After making chocolate pudding for the first time, we never bought one again. A homemade chocolate pudding with fresh chocolate has a much more aromatic taste and a much creamier texture than ready-made products from the bag or the refrigerator shelf. The chocolatey dessert is ready in just 10 minutes. Served with fruit, cream or vanilla sauce, you’ll have a pretty dessert in your glass in no time!

5 reasons for the best homemade chocolate pudding

Making pudding with chocolate yourself according to our recipe offers many advantages over the purchased versions. The dessert, like a lava cake with a liquid chocolate center, is great for guests.

  1. The taste: Once you’ve made your own pudding, you won’t want any more from the bag or from the refrigerated shelf, we promise. This also applies to our homemade vanilla pudding recipe.
  2. Ingredients: Instead of long lists of ingredients, you know exactly what’s in your dessert: few natural ingredients and guaranteed no additives, preservatives or artificial flavors! You can determine the quality of the ingredients yourself.
  3. Health awareness: Should homemade chocolate pudding be sugar-free or lower in sugar? No problem, just replace the sugar with birch sugar, erythritol or coconut sugar. For fewer calories, swap the cream for more milk. Would you like a lactose-free pudding? This is very easy with lactose-free milk or plant milk!
  4. Variations: Just use your favorite chocolate! Whether white chocolate, whole milk or dark chocolate, the homemade pudding recipe tastes great! For the white version we would double the chocolate and leave out the cocoa. After cooking, when the pudding has cooled down a little, you can also stir in chocolate chips, roasted nuts or coconut pieces.
  5. Fun: Last but not least, it’s also a lot of fun to make the chocolate pudding yourself. It’s a great way to relax after a stressful day at work and as a result you’ll be rewarded with a great dessert!
