8 years self -employed with my studio for bridal fashion in Leipzig
A lot has happened in the past 8 years. In the second financial year, my employee was added, who still actively supported me today. We moved from the southern suburb to Reudnitz, increasing with our beautiful studio apartment with a small showroom, workshop, office and kitchen. In the meantime we were three, at the moment we are again and excited about what the future brings. The past two years have not been easy for us either. Again and again Lockdowns, canceled and postponed weddings and finally the energy crisis have taken a good piece of the previous ease. Even due to my little son, who was often sick since the start of the daycare center, everything was pretty busy.
It was all the more important to me to give my studio a little love this year. I always love to decorate the shop window. Our wedding dresses hang on beautiful copper rods, this autumn a clothing rack was only added for our two -part, which I ordered from Etsy. In spring we redesigned the wall and hung up new curtains. What was still missing was a new mural! After the start of our new bridal fashion collection, I was finally able to take on this project and immortalize some of the beautiful photos of Sophia Molek on canvas.
Photos on canvas as a decoration for the studio
Perhaps you have already read it on Instagram: I was inspired by Anne of Green Gables for our new collection of loving bridal fashion in Boho and Vintage style. I love the photos that were taken on the Kössern knight’s estate! So it was only logical that I wanted to have some of them as a mural. Fortunately, photowall asked me if I didn’t feel like a cooperation. The canvases are actually beautiful and even our photographer Sophia Molek was very enthusiastic about the quality of the pressure. The large screen is actually made of two individuals – once in the format 50 x 50 cm and once in the format 100 x 50 cm. To do this, I also ordered a single canvas for decorating and measuring 50 x 70 cm for trade fairs. I arranged these in front of our clothes plush with a delicate chain of lights and the bridal shoes by Rachel Simpson Shoes.
Two -part for the bride
Since this autumn there has been a separate clothing rail for our tulle skirts and brewing skirts, which you can put together with the top dops and tops into a beautiful, individual two -part. I ordered the copper rod from Etsy and find it super beautiful. I am still considering hanging the tops a little higher and putting the rod with the skirts underneath. So was my plan.
Sustainable wedding dresses, manufactured in Leipzig
Of course, in our studio for bridal fashion in Leipzig, there are also “classic” wedding dresses to discover, whereby these always come modern and simple with loops. It is important to me that the brides can also move well on their wedding anniversary and the dress feels of course. I am very proud that we have been able to use more and more natural and sustainable materials in recent years. There are already tips made of certified organic cotton, many under fabrics consist of the sustainable fiber Tencel. At Chiffon, which is supposed to flow and not wrinkle, we rely on recycling polyester.
With us the bride knows what it wears on the skin – and she knows where her wedding dress comes from! All wedding dresses, two -part and accessories for the bride and groom are manufactured in our in -house workshop, which is right next to the showroom. So if you are with us for advice, it may well be that you hear the sewing machine buzzing in the next room.
Hach, I’m very happy with our new look for the studio. I think the new canvases go perfectly with our boho-style wall design, which we implemented ourselves in spring. I am very happy.
