1. (The region) Lana

Both the municipality of Lana, framed by vines and apple trees as well as the region of the same name with Burgstall, Tscherms, Gargazon, Völlan and the Hausberg Vigiljoch, is always worth a visit. Good to know: In the Lana region there are some of the best hotels and restaurants in South Tyrol.

2. The Pragser Wildsee

If you run one of the smallest cities in the world through the charming alleys, it feels a bit as if you had traveled back to the Middle Ages.

5. Brixen

In our opinion, the most beautiful city in South Tyrol really offers everything that the region stands for. Anyone who travels to Brixen awaits both urban flair with a lot of culture, top catering and modern hotels, as well as all the outdoor options of the Dolomites in the immediate vicinity.

The striking mountain range is the landmark of the Dolomites and the hike to the foot of the three tips is rewarded by many breathtaking views.

9. Merano

Merano should not be missing in this list either, because the idyllic city not only offers Mediterranean flair, but also skillfully combines tradition and modernity. And all in the most beautiful mountain backdrop! By the way, our favorite hotel South Tyrolean, the Villaverde, is located right outside the gates of Merans.

10. Schenna

The special thing about Schenna? The location on a sun hill above Merans! The perfect travel time: April, in which the apple blossom dives the entire area into a pink sea of flower and the mountain peaks are still covered with snow.
