Tips for a city trip to Bath

 

As part of a press trip with several stops, we spent almost 48 hours in Bath, but were so enthusiastic about the famous spa location that we would like to share our tips collected at this time on the blog with you.

 

Did you know that a large part of the filming for Bridgerton took place in Bath? There are numerous locations in the city in the city, and you feel in the historic streets as if you had landed in the middle of the Regency era.

Jane Austen is also one of the most famous former residents of Bath. She was inspired there for her novels-and of course there is also a Jane-Austen Museum in Bath.

That alone is a very good reason for a visit to Bath. But the beautiful city has a lot more to offer. We would like to share our top ten tips for a city trip to Bath here with you.

1. Spend the night in the charming The Royal Crescent: The luxurious hotel not only enchants with a unique interior, a beautiful garden and the sweet domestic hangover Alfie, the building is also part of the famous, crescent -shaped Royal Crescent row of houses. 4. Dinner in the star restaurant Olive Tree Bath: The only restaurant in Bath, which was awarded a Michelin star, is located in The Queensberry Hotel and is an absolute recommendation for the heart. We not only loved eating the exquisite, but also the relaxed ambience. The menu is something very special and, in addition to the classic variant with fish and meat, can also be chosen vegetarian, vegan or only with fish. 5. Browse through all the beautiful book stores: For example at Topping & Company (York St, Bath Ba1 1ng) or Bath Old Books (9c Margaret’s Buildings, Bath BA1 2LP).

6. Immerse yourself in the rich history of the city: A walk through the illustrious old town is an absolute must, supplemented by a visit to the Roman Baths and a tour of the impressive Bath Abbey.

7. Walk along the Avon River … and enjoy the city. The famous Pulteney Bridge, which with its elegant arches and the adjacent shops, is an architectural highlight.
