The preparation of the onion salad is really easy. With a few tips you will succeed perfectly.

- Peel, halve and cut the onions into fine slices.
400 g red onions
- Add chopped parsley, sumach, sugar, lemon juice and olive oil.
4 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, 3 tl sumach spice, ½ lemon (juice), 2 tablespoons of olive oil, Salt and pepper, 1 teaspoon of sugar
- Mix everything well. Season with salt and pepper. Let go for 5 minutes and serve.
Depending on your taste, you can prepare the onions in 3 different ways:
- You use them freshly cut, as indicated in the recipe. So they keep their sharpness and remain particularly crisp and aromatic. That is our favorite.
- You mix them with half a teaspoon of salt and let them pull for 30 minutes. The resulting onion water pours away. So they become softer and a little milder.
- You put the onion rings in a bowl with cold water for 30 minutes. Then fill up the water, dry the onions and process it. This is how they become milder, but keep their crisp bite.
